Who We Are

JD has been providing residential and commercial owners with electrical services since 1987. In 1995, JD morphed into telecommunications, he started as a tower hand and moved his way up to help build numerous companies into multimillion-dollar enterprises.

In 2017, JD and Mary decided to start their own company, and that is how Southern Electric & Construction, LLC, began.

In 2023, Mary decided to join Southern Electric & Construction, LLC full-time and leave behind her 28-year mortgage career to become the Operations Manager.

We are excited that Southern Electric & Construction, LLC is able to be a fully family-owned and run company.

We are very proud members of NATE with JD sitting on the DAS and Small Cell Committee and Mary sitting on the Membership Committee. Mary is also a member of Women of Nate.

Southern Electric & Construction, LLC was established leveraging the extensive 40-year expertise of our founder. Originating as a modest electrical service provider, we have expanded into a comprehensive contractor, proficient in residential & commercial electrical, wireless telecom, excavation, and land clearing. As a family-owned business, we are committed to integrity, customer satisfaction, and superior workmanship.
